Nowadays almost every marriage is mixed. Lithuanians marry polish people, black people get married to white ones and Jewish people create families with Muslims. When people fall in love they do not care about all those differences between them and their partners. Usually when Lithuanian marries Polish or Russian there are no big issues or disagreements between spouses and marriage is quite successful. However, there appear a lot of very big and serious problems after wedding when Lithuanian girl marries for example Turkish or another man from Islam religion country. Differences between partners make marriages like this disastrous. To start with, mixed marriages between people with similar traditions and the same religion for example, polish and lithuanian, are usually successful. In Lithuania we have a lot of examples of marriages like that. People get married and they have no problems because they celebrate the same celebrations, they believe in the same god, they have the same traditions and their attitude towards the family is very similar. There are no issues in their marital lives caused by some sort of traditional, religious or cultural differences. Although, when Turkish man marries Lithuanian girl there appear very big amount of serious problems and marriage usually falls apart.
Secondly, marriages between people who belong to different religions for example Islamic and Christian fail almost all the time. There are a lot of reasons for that to happen. Different traditions, celebrations, habits, understanding of family. Lithuanian girls cannot get used to Islamic lifestyle when they get married Muslims. They gave to give up on their parents, forget about their friends, the only thing they have to do is to raise children. They even have no right to work most of the time. Such marriage can succeed only if people love each other and are ready to sacrifice, otherwise marriage will break down.
The last but not least thing worth mentioning is that the most important thing for marriage to succeed is pure and real love. If two people love each other there is no religious, traditional or cultural difference which could harm their marriage. When there is real feelings people learn how to make compromises. They learn how to adapt to each other and make right decisions. It is important to keep together and do not let even parents to interfere between you two. So, even completely different people from completely different environments can be happy if they want to and try to very much.
All things considered, I think that it is possible for mixed marriage to succeed. In spite of all difficulties if there is love, people will always find a way to be happy together. Of course no one says that it will be easy. Only strong and brave, those who are ready to give up everything for their family can pass all those exams which life provides us.
